We have curated a list of activities for your reference as you plan along for your trip to the Canadian Pacific West Coast. Please see our recommendations below:

Visit Stanley Park – Explore the approximately 400 hectares of nature space in Downtown Vancouver. A good 20-minute walk from the hotel, enjoy the various walking paths and famous Vancouver Seawall. Best explored by walking or by bicycle.
**Try the Horse-drawn carriage to take you around the park. (Rate: Adults: $50, Seniors: $46, Child: $22)

Learn the importance of the Aquatic Life at Vancouver Aquarium- See the dolphins, otters, jellyfish, penguins, etc. at Canada’s largest aquarium. Enjoy the interactive shows with the family.
(Rate: Adult: $42, Senior/Students: $36.75, Child: 26.25)

Shop in Granville Island – a former industrial site, now home to multiple arts, shops, and the famous public market where you can find the freshest produce and artisanal favorites. Walk around and enjoy the different colors of Granville Island. Perfect spot to buy souvenir items.
Insider Tip: Take the water taxi from Beach Road going to Granville Island. Lee’s donuts is a must have in the Public Market.

Feel like one of Peter Pan’s lost boys at Capilano Suspension Bridge- Cross the 450 feet long, 230 feet high suspension bridge to get to the main park. Feel like a kid again as you cross the different suspension bridges connecting the trees in the park. Cliffwalk is also must do.

Meet Grizzly Bears at Grouse Mountain – Say hello to Grouse Mountain’s resident grizzly bears, Coola and Grinder in their natural habitat. Enjoy the different activities and shows such as the bird show, the lumberjack show, tree canopy adventure, mountain ropes adventure among others. If you have the endurance, you can take the Grouse Grind. Considered as “Nature’s Stairmaster.”

Take photo with Gastown’s Steam Clock- walk through the cobblestone streets of Water Street towards the iconic Vancouver icon. Take a photo with the clock as your “I am in Vancouver Photo.”
Tip: Wait for the clock to chime every 15 minutes from the top of the hour.

Get lost in a maze at Van Dusen Botanical Garden- An inspiring 55 acres of outdoor oasis with over 7500 plant species from around the world.
(Rate: Adult: $11.70, Senior: $8.20, Youth-13-18y/o: $8.20, Child 5-12y/o: $5.85, 4 and younger: Free)

Drive through the Sea to Sky corridor enroute to the Sea to Sky Gondola. Enjoy the ride on one of North America’s most scenic high-way. Take the gondola to the top of the Chief and enjoy the breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains and Howe Sound.
Tip: There are viewpoints along the highway that you can get a quick rest/stop and enjoy the view.

See some whales in their natural habitat. Let the sea breeze hit your faces as you traverse the Gulf Islands or Howe Sound to see British Columbia’s famous mammals on a Catamaran, Cruisers, or Zodiacs.
